Maps on Purpose Continuing Exhibitions

< Back

As Maps on Purpose workshops were completed at the end of 2007, many participating communities shared the results with informal community exhibits.

Location

Community exhibits took place in at various locations in neighborhoods across Baltimore City.

Art

Collaborative and hand-made maps of all kinds created over a number of sessions by residents in workshops facilitated by professional community artists.

Purpose

In addition to being  chances for workshop participants to celebrate the fruits of their labor, the exhibits were first opportunities to view the maps and hold discussions on how they may be used as educating or advocacy tools.
